The Quarterly Board Meeting for Nebraska Writers Guild was held at Braeda Bread in Lincoln on 7/27/13 at 2 pm.
Board and visiting members/chairs discussed issues of NWG including:
*Fall Conference prices and address-Check the Conference TAB above for updated information
*State Fair and how that’s coming together-Charlene has volunteers lined up but is still scheduling  volunteers! Drop her an email to schedule your opportunity to network with fans and other NWG members

*This year’s successful Write Across Nebraska Event and ways that the new format is beneficial and what our group can do to continue the successes into 2014

*The results of the NWG survey included with the last Broadside and at Conference-what the NWG is doing to address suggestions /concerns from responses—how our updated and continuously improving website upgrades, Yahoo group announcements and blog revisions are satisfying many of the requests from the survey

*Possible revisions of NWG By-Laws that require a member vote
*Keeping our online Yahoo Group a positive and encouraging avenue for all members
*Release of the next Broadside and The Bulletin
*Committee Reports including Historian, Judy Rosenkotter’s updates to Nebraska Historical Society, Gina Barlean Membership Chair’s, report and Sabrina Sumsion, Publicity Chair’s information on membership recruitment event in Hastings—more info coming soon-watch the Yahoo Loop and this blog for details

The Nebraska Writers Guild Board Meets:

When: July 27th, 2013 at 2:00 pm

Where: Braeda Bread 33rd & Pioneers, Lincoln, Ne.

All NWG members are welcome and encouraged to attend as the Nebraska Writers Guild Board discusses the business side of our organization.

Input from our members is always welcome and coming to the Quarterly Board Meeting is an easy way to get your ideas out, connect with the NWG board and learn about the processes of Nebraska Writers Guild.

Also, if you’ve ever considered volunteering for NWG board positions, attending board meetings will familiarize you with information involved in running our organization.
